Job Opportunity: Accounts Assistant

Location: Mullingar, Head Office

Are you a detail-oriented individual with a strong knack for numbers? Our client, a leading Fire Protection Systems company, is actively seeking an Accounts Assistant to provide integral support to the Finance Office Manager. In this role, you’ll contribute to the financial operations of the company while working from our Mullingar Head Office.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Invoice Management: Prepare and issue invoices accurately and promptly, ensuring adherence to company procedures.
  • Payment Processing: Handle payment claims efficiently, maintaining accuracy and compliance with established protocols.
  • Credit Control: Play a vital role in managing credit, assisting in collections efforts to ensure healthy cash flow.
  • Customer Interaction: Address daily inquiries from customers and internal stakeholders in a professional and helpful manner.
  • Database Maintenance: Keep company databases up to date with relevant and accurate information.
  • Debtors Reporting: Generate and analyze debtors reports to assist in decision-making processes.
  • Regulatory Compliance: Handle Intrasat & VIES Revenue reporting, reconcile departmental accounts, and contribute to maintaining procedural documentation.
  • Finance Meetings: Participate in weekly finance meetings, offering insights and updates as needed.

The Ideal Candidate:

  • Financial Proficiency: Possess excellent accounting skills and a strong numerical aptitude.
  • Software Expertise: Demonstrate a thorough working knowledge of MS Office, particularly Word and Excel, including proficiency with Excel formulas.
  • Accounting Software: Proficiency with Sage 50 accounting package, using it effectively for various financial tasks.
  • Reconciliation Experience: Exhibit experience in performing accounts reconciliations accurately.
  • Relationship Building: Establish and maintain positive relationships with suppliers, promoting effective collaboration.
  • Communication Skills: Display exceptional communication skills, both written and verbal, and thrive in a team-oriented environment.
  • Organization and Prioritization: Showcase the ability to organize and prioritize tasks, managing multiple responsibilities with ease.
  • Attention to Detail: Maintain a high level of accuracy and meticulous attention to detail in all tasks.
  • Qualifications: While an ATI Diploma or equivalent is desirable, it is not an essential requirement.
