Our global client, the largest OEM in the Semiconductor industry, with 34,000 employees in 24 countries, are looking to expand their Field Service Engineer team onsite at their client site in Leixlip, Co Kildare. These roles work alongside their customers to install, maintain and upgrade their equipment, delivering world-class support for highly advanced production systems. Our client train their Field Service Engineers to create and support the technology that the world relies on to manufacture semiconductor chips and related materials, daily. This is a shift based role comprising of a 24/7 shift pattern with essential training completed abroad in Asia or USA so a fantastic developmental and learning experience within the semiconductor industry. · Be involved with installing leading-edge customer equipment, performing scheduled preventative maintenance and corrective maintenance, and upgrading equipment.

· Proactively take ownership of technical issues.

· Complete required job documentation, safety training and procedures for processing parts.

· Professionally represent our client to the customer, using your “customer first” mindset.

· Satisfy the company’s and customer’s on-site requirements, including safety and environmental guidelines.


· Qualification from disciplines including Mechanical / Mechatronic / Electrical / Electronic Engineering /Science / Aircraft Systems or a Trade Apprenticeship.

· At least 1 years + of work experience in customer/field support/maintenance role.

· An ability to read and interpret electrical and mechanical schematics.· Clear and effective written/verbal communications skills, with an emphasis on documenting details.· Proficiency in the Microsoft Office suite (Excel, Word and PowerPoint).· A mechanical aptitude and knowledge in the following: pneumatics, hydraulics, electronics, vacuum and thermodynamics.· Knowledge of hand tools and proper usage, including a digital multimeter.

What to expect:

· You will be on rotation and in shifts (days and nights) so that customers have ongoing support 24/7.

· You will be asked to travel for training (in some cases for up to 3 months) or to customer sites across the globe.

· Your job requires the ability to work in a clean room environment wearing coveralls, hood, booties, safety glasses and gloves.

Interview Process:

· 2 hour same day interview process – interviews run on Tuesdays and Thursdays mornings.

· Will include a practical mechanical and electrical hands on assessment & a competency based interview
