We’re working closely with an industry leading Beverage company in their search for a Health & Safety Advisor to join their team in Cork. In this role, you will be responsible for ensuring compliance with safety, health, and environmental regulations across our clients operations. A relevant EHS qualification and minimum of two years experience is required for this role.

Responsibilities
- Develop and maintain environmental, health, and safety (EHS) policies, procedures, and programs to ensure compliance with applicable regulations and industry best practices.
- Conduct regular audits and inspections to identify potential hazards and risks. Provide recommendations and implement corrective actions to mitigate these risks.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop and deliver effective safety training programs and initiatives.
- Lead incident investigations, analyse root causes, and develop preventive measures to minimize the occurrence of accidents or incidents.
- Monitor and analyse safety performance indicators, identifying trends and areas for improvement. Prepare reports and presentations to communicate findings to management.
- Stay updated on relevant safety legislation, regulations, and industry standards, and ensure that our operations remain compliant.
- Act as a point of contact for employees regarding safety concerns, providing guidance, support, and advice.
- Foster a culture of safety awareness and engagement across the organization, promoting the importance of SHE practices.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree Occupational Health and Safety or a related field.
- Proven experience as an EHS Engineer or similar role, preferably in a manufacturing or industrial environment.
- Sound knowledge of safety, health, and environmental regulations and standards.
- Familiarity with conducting risk assessments, audits, and incident investigations.
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret data and identify trends.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams.
- Detail-oriented with strong organizational and time management skills.
- Professional certifications in safety management (e.g., NEBOSH, IOSH) are desirable.
