Our Client, a leading provider of high performance tooling is seeking to hire a Quality Engineer to join their team in Dublin. This role will act as a support to identify process gaps / weakness, to drive change, to deliver continuous improvement within a defined function and to support compliance to our defined processes.
The QE will report to the Quality Manager.
Key duties/responsibilities of the Quality Engineer:
Develop Test Procedures and provide Quality ‘Sign-off’ of FAT and Feeder Testing.
- Update Testing Procedure based on CC/NCR Data.
- Use CC/NCR Data to drive Continuous Improvement Projects across departmental groups.
Management and Reporting of NCR Data
- Report weekly numbers for Business KPI Meetings (where needed)
Supplier Quality
- Supplier Quality Follow up to 8D Reports –
- Review 8D reports and Close Off when complete.
- Validate Actions by visiting Supplier where necessary
- Using this data to develop Suppliers
- Manage Supplier Rating based on Non-Conformance Data
Conduct Process Audits to provide unbiased results of internal audits to the assigned function and drive improvement action from audit results.
Act as the quality point of contact for the assigned support function & help where required.
Set up & maintain regular communication of ongoing quality issues, improvements & quality related activity to creates awareness and competence for quality management in teams within defined area of responsibility to drive a highly focused ‘Right First Time’ quality culture.
Coach and mentor colleagues in the execution of the Management System.
Key Performance Indicators for (Job Title):
Setup / Review Testing System (FAT / Feeder) and relevant KPI
Identify Opportunities for Improvement based on NCR & CCNCR Data
Reduce CCNCR from Testing Process by 10% Year on Year
Facilitate 10 Continuous Improvement Projects to improve Right First Time across Departments
Skills and Attributes:
Experience in Manufacturing / Engineering related industry within Manufacturing Operations.
Proven and demonstrable experience (+3 years) from a similar role in Quality, or the potential to develop these skills
Proven results in data analysis & Continuous improvement.
Facilitates Level Two project management methodology for business to deliver said continuous improvement agenda.
Computer literate. Experience in Microsoft Packages (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook).
Degree qualified, or significant experience in Quality.
Ideally has experience in Six Sigma.
Experience in application of Lean methodology
Be a self-starter, and be proactive and energetic in the work situation seeking to get things done and at the same time deal with a variety of tasks.
Must have strong listening skills & be able to stay detached from bias from the assigned area of responsibility.
