Accounts Payable Supervisor

Our client, one of Ireland’s leading contractors are seeking to hire an Accounts Payable Supervisor to support the Finance Team  in their Head Office in Dublin.

As a Supplier Relationship Manager and Accounts Payable Specialist, your role entails overseeing supplier relationships and efficiently processing invoices for payment. Your responsibilities include leveraging your knowledge of various European VAT jurisdictions and your expertise in accounts payable procedures to ensure the smooth operation of financial processes within our organization.

Responsibilities:

1. Supplier Relationship Management:
   • Ensure the timely and accurate processing of invoices.
   • Cultivate and maintain positive relationships with suppliers.
2. Invoice Processing:
   • Review and process invoices in accordance with company policies and procedures.
   • Maintain strict adherence to payment timelines.
3. Vendor Account Management:
   • Monitor and reconcile vendor accounts to verify payment accuracy.
   • Resolve any discrepancies promptly to maintain healthy supplier relations.
4. Vendor Support:
   • Respond to vendor inquiries and address issues in a timely and efficient manner.
5. Records Maintenance:
   • Maintain up-to-date accounts payable records, including vendor files and payment documentation.
6. Additional Responsibilities:
   • Assist in month-end closing procedures.
   • Tackle ad hoc tasks as required to support the finance team.

Qualifications:

• A minimum of 5 years of experience in a similar role within the construction industry.
• Profound knowledge of accounts payable principles and practices.
• Capable of working both independently and collaboratively within a team.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, with a strong focus on Excel.
• Highly experienced with VAT
• While not mandatory, familiarity with VAT regulations in various European jurisdictions is considered an advantage.
