Our client is seeking a BCAR Engineer to join their compliance team in Dublin to work across a wide range of projects on which they act as the assigned certifier.

The successful candidate must have a thorough understanding of Building Control Legislation, Building Regulations, best practice and industry guidance with an extensive experience on a range of complex projects.

Responsibilities

  • Collaborate in a team setting by sharing ideas and solutions.
  • Prepare commencement and completion notices
  • Finalize and submit commencement notices.
  • Draft and compile inspection plans, monitoring their progress throughout the project.
  • Ensure the compilation of completion certificates and ancillary certificates.
  • Gather necessary product certifications from contractors.
  • Attend client, design, and site meetings nationwide, conducting timely site inspections and documenting reports.
  • Track and resolve open compliance issues on projects to ensure satisfactory closure.
  • Utilize the company cloud compliance system for all related tasks.
  • Coordinate and liaise with all parties involved in the construction project.
  • Utilize the Building Control Management System (BCMS) for project management.
  • Report regularly to the designated Assigned Certifier.
  • Correspond with Building Control as needed.

Requirements

  • Degree in a construction related discipline (Architect, Building Surveyor, Civil & Structural Engineer, M&E)
  • 3-4+ years experience in a similar role
  • Full driving licence
