BIM Co-Ordinator

Our client, a prestigious Main Contractor is seeking an experienced BIM Co-Ordinator based on the Northside of Dublin.

The Successful candidate will manage BIM models, ensuring data integrity, and promoting the use of BIM technology for efficient project planning and execution.

Key Responsibilities:

1. BIM Model Management:
   • Develop and maintain BIM models for construction projects, incorporating 3D models and related data.
   • Ensure the accuracy and consistency of BIM data throughout the project lifecycle.
   • Collaborate with architects, engineers, and other project stakeholders to integrate their designs into the BIM model.
2. Coordination and Collaboration:
   • Facilitate BIM coordination meetings and discussions to resolve clashes and conflicts within the BIM model.
   • Collaborate with various project teams to ensure alignment and integration of BIM data across disciplines.
   • Foster a collaborative BIM environment to improve project efficiency and communication.
3. Quality Control:
   • Perform regular quality checks on BIM models to identify and resolve errors, inconsistencies, and omissions.
   • Ensure BIM models comply with industry standards, company guidelines, and project-specific requirements.
4. Documentation:
   • Generate and maintain detailed documentation related to BIM processes and standards.
   • Create and manage BIM execution plans and protocols for specific projects.
5. Training and Support:
   • Provide training and support to project teams and stakeholders on BIM software and best practices.
   • Stay current with BIM technology advancements and communicate their potential benefits to the project.
6. Data Integration:
   • Assist in the integration of BIM data with other project management systems, such as project scheduling and cost estimation tools.
7. Innovation and Research:
   • Explore and implement innovative BIM tools and methods that improve project efficiency and collaboration.
   • Stay updated on industry trends and standards related to BIM.

The Ideal Candidate:

• Bachelor’s degree in architecture, engineering, construction management, or a related field.
• 5+ years experience as a BIM Coordinator or similar role, preferably with a Main Contractor on Pharma/Data Centre projects
• Proficiency in BIM software, such as Revit, Navisworks, or AutoCAD.
• Strong knowledge of BIM standards and practices
• Excellent problem-solving and communication skills.
• Ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams.
• Knowledge of construction and design processes.
• Understanding of industry-specific codes and regulations.
