Our client are looking for a BIM Modeller to join their team in Dublin. Our client are a successful multinational contractor with operations in Europe, USA and Latin America. As a BIM Modeller, you will work closely with the BIM Manager to develop the proper and required As-Built BIM Models during Construction and Handover Stages.

BIM Modeller Responsibilities

• Develop the model virtually for specific design discipline
• Produce detailed 2D and 3D BIM and CAD drafting models in line with specific project requirements, that offer the best solutions to meet client expectations
• Ensure that the model aligns with the standards and goals set in BIM Execution Plan and BIM project workflow criteria
• Collaborate and coordinate internally or/and externally with other disciplines design-changes and model changes
• Create discipline specific BIM Modeling content
• Develop accurate construction drawings and extract data based on the discipline BIM platform
• Coordinate design documentation as a methodology with full utilization of BIM software and tools
• Self-checks models and drawings for quality assurance, following the QAQC procedure in force in the project.
• Works in a team-based environment that involves coordination with colleagues based in different offices including Partnering with the field and prefab teams to create plans for the implementation of model-based prefabrication.
• Coordinate internally the design team and specialist subcontractors.
• Ensure proper distribution between ARC/STR/PCC/BIM models.
• Confirm suppliers’ ability to deliver information requirements.
• Responsible for creating, amending and maintaining BIM models during Construction and Handover Stages

Requirements

• 3+years relevant experience in a similar role
• 3rd level qualification in Engineering/Architecture with additional BIM training
• Excellent understanding of document control tools as Aconex, BIM360, ACC etc.;
• Excellent knowledge of modelling and drawing software packages such as AutoCAD, Autodesk
• Revit, Civil3D and Navisworks. Able to operate Dynamo will be an advantage
• Strong attention to detail
• Experience of all BIM tools and digital design coordination
• Construction industry experience in similar projects desirable
• Knowledge & Understanding of BIM Procedures & Protocols
• Excellent communication skills
• Experience using BIM in conjunction with Work Breakdown Structures and Cost Breakdown Structures will be beneficial
• Experience working on developing As-Built BIM Models and experience working on preparing drawing sheets for the discipline of architecture, structures, civils and M&E.
• Minimum 2-3 years Project based and knowledge in ISO 19650 and BS 1192-4
• Excellent knowledge of modelling and drawing software packages such as AutoCAD, Autodesk
• Revit, Civil3D and Navisworks. Ability to operate Dynamo  is advantageous.
• Construction industry experience is desirable
• Highly technical approach, problem solving capacity and solution driven
• A thorough understanding of what is required by Level 2 BIM
