Our client is one of Ireland’s leading Building Services Engineering Contractors, specializing in the installation and maintenance of Heating, Ventilation, and Air Conditioning (HVAC) systems. They consistently deliver on large-scale and complex projects. They are currently seeking an experienced Project Manager to join their team in Cork.

Responsibilities:

As a Project Manager in Building Services Engineering, your responsibilities will include:

1. Supervision: Overseeing and supervising the installation of building systems, with a focus on HVAC systems.
2. Documentation: Specifying and documenting maintenance and operating procedures for systems.
3. Budget Management: Managing and forecasting spending to ensure projects are within budget.
4. Technical Drawings: Working with detailed diagrams, plans, and drawings, often using CAD software for system design.
5. Monitoring: Monitoring building systems and processes to ensure their optimal performance.
6. Collaboration: Liaising with other professionals such as structural engineers, builders, surveyors, and in-house project teams to coordinate project efforts.
7. Meetings: Attending project and technical meetings to provide updates and insights.
8. Compliance: Ensuring that the design and maintenance of building systems meet Irish legislative and health and safety requirements.

Requirements:

To excel in this role, you should have:

• A degree in Building Services or Mechanical Engineering.
• 2-3 years of experience working in a relevant industry, ideally in a project management capacity.
• Experience in managing people, demonstrating strong leadership skills.
• The ability to work both as part of a team and independently, using your own initiative.
• Strong problem-solving abilities with the capacity to generate practical solutions.
• Proficiency in converting written and verbal directions into 2D/3D drawings.
• A high level of accuracy and attention to detail.
