Our client, a leading Multidisciplinary Engineering Consultancy, are seeking a Civil Design Engineer, to join their team. Our client delivers a wide spectrum of engineering and environmental solutions for both private and public sector clients.

The role is based at our client’s Cork Office, and there are options for remote or hybrid work arrangements.

Requirements

  • A track record in a diverse range of Water Services Projects, encompassing network design, pumping stations, WWTP, rising mains, and fire protection projects.
  • Proficiency in preparing preliminary and detailed designs and tender documents.
  • Supervision and Contract Administration of Water Services projects.
  • Familiarity with Irish Water/Uisce Éireann projects and knowledge of IW standards.
  • Expertise in urban drainage modeling and network design using MicroDrainage or a similar tool.
  • Capability in SuDs (Sustainable Drainage Systems) design and the development of drainage strategies.
  • Experience in flood risk management, flood relief scheme design, and fluvial flood modeling could be advantageous.
  • Utilization of Civils 3D for analysis, design, and reporting.
  • Proficiency in project scoping, planning, and programming.

Skills and Qualifications Required

  • A minimum of a Level 8 Degree in Civil Engineering with at least 6 years of relevant experience (Roles and compensation will be tailored to match experience and qualifications). A relevant MSc would be considered favorably.
  • A collaborative team player with a proactive and constructive work approach.
  • Exceptional communication, planning, and organizational abilities.
  • Strong problem-solving skills, a willingness to shoulder responsibility, and meet tight deadlines.
  • Proficiency in technical report writing.
  • Possession of a full driver’s license.
