We are recruiting a Civil Design Engineer on behalf of our client, one of Ireland and the UK’s largest contractors for their office in Arklow, Co. Wicklow. The successful candidate will be part of their growing in-house design team delivering RC, steelwork and temporary works design in the water industry.

Requirements of the Civil Design Engineer:

  • A Level 8 degree in Civil/Structural Engineering as a minimum
  • Minimum of 2-4 years’ relevant experience in the water industry.
  • Ability to achieve tight deadlines working as part of a team
  • Excellent verbal and written (English) communication skills
  • Preparation of contract specifications and drawings
  • Surveying and site inspections
  • Preparation and Review of preliminary designs
  • Contribute to the project team on a day to day basis
  • Direct communication and meetings with Clients
  • Implementing the company’s ISO policies and procedures

Key Responsibilities of the Civil Design Engineer:

  • Engage with Clients and Design Teams for project delivery
  • Manage design output to meet specified quality and agreed timelines and costs
  • Monitor and report on construction
  • Ensure full compliance with CST Group procedures and quality systems
