Our Client, a leading Construction and Civils contractor are seeking a Civil Site Engineer for civil infrastructure projects across the Tyrone and Northern Ireland. The company in question are one of the fastest growing Civil & Construction contractors in Ireland with a large volume of projects across the Northern Irish region.
This is an excellent opportunity for a experienced and driven individual to join a large contractor where they can progress their career. The ideal candidate should have previous utility and water infrastructure experience. This is a full-time permanent position.
Responsibilities:
- Construction Drawing: Skillfully read, interpret, and effectively communicate construction drawings on-site, encompassing layouts, material measurements, and more.
- Setting Out: Ensure the utmost accuracy by providing precise lines, levels, and reference points on the construction site.
- Exhibit strong leadership in influencing project progress on-site, ensuring that critical program deadlines are met.
- Develop and nurture productive relationships with clients and subcontractors, contributing to successful project outcomes.
- Work closely with team members to ensure unwavering adherence to Quality, Environmental, and Health & Safety standards throughout your project phase on-site.
- Actively pursue industry knowledge, sharing and implementing best practices with line managers and colleagues.
- IMS Compliance: Maintain strict compliance with Integrated Management System (IMS) requirements, policies, and procedures.
Experience:
- Educational: Hold a degree in Civil Engineering or a related industry qualification.
- Experience: Have a minimum of 2-3 years of on-the-ground experience, demonstrating practical knowledge.
- Sector Advantage: Prior experience within the water sector is advantageous.
- IT Proficiency: Display proficiency in numeracy and IT skills, including the use of MS Office, Word, and Excel.
- Demonstrate the ability to take ownership and responsibility for a project from inception to completion, driven by personal initiative.
- Be motivated by deadlines, instilling a sense of urgency within the team to achieve key targets.
- Possess excellent communication skills and a strong grasp of commercial awareness
- Maintain a full, valid driving license.
