Our Client, a leading Construction and Civils contractor are seeking a Civil Site Manager for civil infrastructure projects across the Tyrone and Northern Ireland. The company in question are one of the fastest growing Civil & Construction contractors in Ireland with a large volume of projects across the Northern Irish region.
This is an excellent opportunity for a experienced and driven individual to join a large contractor where they can progress their career. The ideal candidate should have previous utility and water infrastructure experience. This is a full-time permanent position.

Responsibilities:

  • Construction Drawing Interpretation: Analyze and interpret construction drawings, providing clear communication of layout details, material measurements, and related information on-site.
  • Precise Setting Out: Ensure accuracy in setting out by establishing precise lines, levels, and reference points at the construction site.
  • Project Progress Management: Effectively influence site progress, ensuring that programme deadlines are met and projects stay on track.
  • Client and Subcontractor Relations: Develop and maintain positive relationships with clients and subcontractors, facilitating smooth project execution.
  • Team Collaboration: Work closely with team members to uphold Quality, Environmental, and Health & Safety standards during your project phase on-site.
  • Industry Knowledge Development: Continuously expand your knowledge in the industry and communicate and implement best practice guidance for line managers and relevant staff.
  • IMS Compliance: Maintain compliance with the Integrated Management System (IMS) requirements, policies, and procedures.
  • Ad Hoc Duties: Undertake any other duties as necessary to support project success.
  • Initiative and Accountability: Demonstrate the ability to use initiative and take ownership of projects from initiation to completion.
  • Deadline-Oriented: Be deadline-driven, motivating your team to achieve key targets within specified timeframes.

Qualifications & Experience:

  • Educational Background: Possess a degree in Civil Engineering or a related industry qualification.
  • Relevant Experience: Have 8 years or more of on-the-ground experience in construction and engineering.
  • Sector Advantage: Experience in the clean water/wastewater sector is advantageous.
  • IT Proficiency: Exhibit numeracy and IT skills, including proficiency in MS Office, Word, and Excel.
  • Driving License: Hold a full, valid driving license.
