This newly created position is a result of our clients growth. As the Commercial Claims Manager, you will assume responsibility for overseeing the commercial claims management of various projects in the Irish building and civil engineering sectors.

Your key responsibilities will include:

  1. Providing expert guidance on commercial, contractual, and claims matters to Operations Directors, Project Directors, and project teams to optimize project returns.
  2. Collaborating with bid, commercial, project, operations, and finance teams to ensure the effective implementation and management of commercial policies and procedures.
  3. Proficiently reviewing major contracts within the building and civil engineering sectors to identify and communicate risks and mitigation strategies.
  4. Demonstrating confidence in managing changes in project procedures, cost management, claims and variations, and in negotiating and settling disputes with owners and subcontractors.

The Ideal Candidate:

  • 3rd level qualification in Quantity Surveying.
  • Over 5 years of senior-level experience in commercial claims within the construction industry, preferably with a leading contractor.
  • Proven expertise in assessing and mitigating risks in claims, contract, and legal contract types.
  • Exceptional communication skills, along with extensive reporting experience.
