Construction Health & Safety Manager

Our client, a Main Contractor involved in high profile Life Science projects is seeking a Health & Safety Manager for a Pharma site based in Limerick.

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide Health & Safety support to delivery teams and stakeholders
• Ensure consistent implementation of company standards, procedures, policies and expectations.
• Ensure workplaces are audited / risk reviewed at a frequency and with intrusiveness in accordance with policy and direction set by Head of HSEQS
• Development of a strong safety culture
• Review of contractor RAMS, supporting plans, permits and training records
• Responsible for fault reporting and taking necessary corrective action in conjunction with engineering teams
• Internal reporting of H&S and Environmental metrics
• Assist tender and prequalification teams where requested advising on Health and Safety concerns as well as helping provide practical solutions
• Completion of relevant documentation outlining progress etc
• Accident investigation and identification of corrective and preventative actions
• Represent the Company to various external bodies including Clients, Government enforcement agencies and client
• Liaising with client’s representatives while on site including attendance at meetings
• Issue and develop performance reports and policies to Construction Director
• Provide EHS training to departments

The Ideal Candidate:

• 3rd level Health & Safety qualification essential
• 6+ years experience preferably on Industrial/DC/Pharma sites/projects
• Must have excellent IT skills
• NEBOSH qualification advantageous
• Ability to prioritise work requirements and multi-tasking
