Design Coordinator

They are seeking an ambitious Design Coordinator to join their award-winning team, working on innovative, sustainable projects nationwide.

Responsibilities:

• Assist with the selection of Design Subcontractors
• Manage Design Consultants and Subcontractors to ensure correct and timely delivery of all design related information
• Check sub-contractors/design drawings for compliance and interface
• Report on the effectiveness of the design team and design sub-contractor
• Assist procurement team to finalise any long lead items in line with project programme
• Assist CM/QS in checking Cost Proposal Compatibility
• Chair and minute Design meetings and ensure production of information in line with the design programme
• Liaise with the Construction Team to ensure buildable, robust details
• Work with the Site and Commercial team to consider alternatives
• Liaise with the M&E Co-ordination to ensure compatibility of building and services
• Add value and reduce cost to the building without decreasing the buildings durability or reducing any warranty
• Communicate design opportunities and risks to RDM
• Compile, record, and manage information-required documents
• Communicate changes/variations with site QS

Requirements:

• Bachelors Degree in Architectural Technology or related
• 2 years construction or manufacturing industry experience
• Have a functional ability to use Revit or Similar design software
• Ability to organize, plan, programme and manage multiple projects simultaneously
• Strong understanding of Irish Building Regulations
• Be commercially aware
