Design Manager (Modular Construction)

Our client, a leading Modular Construction company in Norfolk, are searching for an experienced Design Manager. Responsibilities:

• Manage the design process in order to develop a design compliant with all contract requirements and in the most cost effective way
• Acting as a go between, between our client and suppliers of various offsite building systems
• Manage conversion of clients drawings into suitable drawings for production
• Assisting with costing for product design, delivery and install
• Ensuring regulatory compliance in details and specifications
• Point of contact for all design related issues
• Has overall responsibility of design quality
• Project Manage and resolve day to day design issues in liaison with the suppliers, pre-construction team, compliance, right through to handover with constant interaction with the Commercial Department

Key Requirements:

• +5 years’ experience in Design Manager role in the Construction industry
• Experience in offsite modular, cold-formed steel or timber frame construction
• Proven management skills both of people and projects
