Our client is seeking an Electrical Estimator to join their team in Kerry. Our client provide Electrical, Instrumentation and Mechanical services.

Responsibilities
- Review and analyze project specifications, drawings, and other documentation to understand project requirements.
- Collaborate with project managers, engineers, and sales teams to gather relevant information for accurate cost estimation.
- Prepare detailed and competitive estimates for electrical, instrumentation, and mechanical projects, including labor, materials, equipment, and overhead costs.
- Utilize estimating software and tools effectively to streamline the estimation process.
- Research and source material and equipment prices from suppliers and subcontractors to ensure up-to-date and accurate pricing.
- Participate in pre-bid meetings, site visits, and project discussions to clarify requirements and identify potential challenges.
- Assist in the evaluation of project risks and opportunities and provide recommendations for pricing strategies.
- Develop and maintain a database of cost information, historical data, and benchmarks for future reference.
- Collaborate with the procurement team to ensure timely and cost-effective sourcing of materials and services.
- Continuously monitor industry trends, market conditions, and pricing to enhance estimating accuracy.
Requirements
- A degree or diploma in Electrical Engineering or related field is preferred.
- Proven experience in electrical estimation within the construction or engineering industry.
- Strong understanding of electrical, instrumentation, and mechanical systems and their components.
- Proficiency in using estimating software and tools.
- Excellent analytical skills with meticulous attention to detail.
- Strong organizational and time management skills to handle multiple projects simultaneously.
- Effective communication and interpersonal abilities to work within a team and liaise with clients, suppliers, and subcontractors.
- Familiarity with relevant codes, regulations, and standards.
- Problem-solving mindset and the ability to adapt to changing project requirements.
- Strong negotiation skills when dealing with suppliers and subcontractors.
- Full proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.
