Electrical Quantity Surveyor

Our client is seeking an Electrical Quantity Surveyor to join their team in Chigwell Hill. Our client are Specialists in Security, Electrical & Mechanical Installations.

Responsibilities

• Provide day to day commercial leadership and advice on a variety of projects.
• Conduct comprehensive cost analysis and estimation for electrical projects, including material costs, labor costs, equipment costs, and overheads.
• Prepare and review detailed tender documentation, bills of quantities, and cost plans in accordance with project requirements.
• Evaluate subcontractor and supplier proposals, negotiate agreements, and ensure adherence to contractual terms and conditions.
• Monitor project budgets, track costs, and provide regular reports to the project team, highlighting any deviations and recommending appropriate corrective actions.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Quantity Surveying, Electrical Engineering, or a related field.
• Proven experience as a Quantity Surveyor within the construction industry, preferably with a focus on electrical projects.
• Strong knowledge of electrical systems, equipment, and materials, as well as relevant regulations and standards is desirable but not essential.
• Proficient in quantity surveying software and tools for cost estimation, measurement, and project management.
• Excellent analytical and numerical skills.
• Strong negotiation and interpersonal skills.
• Exceptional attention to detail and organizational skills.
• Effective communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to present complex information in a clear and concise manner.
• Proactive problem-solving abilities and a strong sense of accountability.
