Our client are seeking an Estimator to join their team in Limerick. Our client have been recognized as one of Ireland’s fastest growing main contactors.
The successful candidate will be expected to work within the estimating team to produce detailed and competitive tender submissions.

- Reviewing Tender Documents: Proficiently examine tender documentation, including drawings, specifications, BOQs, schedules, and contracts. Oversee the entire tender bid process from the initial receipt of the tender inquiry to the final submission of the bid
- Procurement Management: Issue material and trade inquiries to our supply chain and collect quotes from subcontractors and suppliers.
- Risk Assessment: Analyze and evaluate supplier and subcontractor packages, conducting thorough risk assessments. Ensure that all inclusions and exclusions are properly accounted for.
- Tender Evaluation: Review tender inquiries and perform detailed analysis for projects. Provide recommendations and value engineering insights when necessary.
- Document Assessment: Identify opportunities and shortcomings in the tender documents that can be leveraged for commercial advantage.
- Submission Compilation: Assist in the compilation of submissions, including inclusions, exclusions, clarifications, and program of works.
- Reporting: Maintain communication with senior management throughout ongoing project submissions, providing regular updates and reports.
- Experience: Possess at least 2+ years of prior experience in a relevant role.
- Educational Background: Hold a third-level qualification in engineering, construction, quantity surveying, or a related field.
- Industry Knowledge: Demonstrate a solid understanding of subcontractors, construction outputs, and familiarity with labor, plant, and material pricing.
- Data Analysis Skills: Display proficiency in data analysis methods.
- Communication and Negotiation: Exhibit excellent communication and negotiation skills and the ability to collaborate effectively within a team.
- Documentation Management: Be adept at managing tender documentation and be punctual in generating reports.
- Computer Proficiency: Possess strong computer skills, particularly in Microsoft Excel, and ideally, experience with estimating software.
- Project Experience: Have prior experience in tendering projects with values ranging from €1 million up to €100 million.
