They are actively searching for an experienced Construction Estimator in Meath, responsible for accurately assessing project costs, preparing competitive bids, and collaborating closely with our project management and business development teams.

Key Responsibilities:

• Accurately estimate project costs, considering materials, labor, equipment, and other relevant factors.
• Lead the preparation of comprehensive and competitive tenders and proposals, ensuring all client requirements are met.
• Develop and execute effective bid strategies, including risk assessments and pricing strategies.
• Analyze market trends and competitors to position our bids competitively.
• Work closely with the project management and business development teams to gather information, assess project requirements, and develop winning bid strategies.
• Prepare and compile all necessary documentation for tenders, including technical specifications, cost breakdowns, and schedules.
• Participate in contract negotiations and provide support to secure favorable terms.
• Engage with clients and stakeholders during the bid process to address inquiries and build strong relationships.
• Identify and evaluate potential risks associated with each bid and propose mitigation strategies.
• Conduct post-bid analysis to learn from previous bids and continuously improve the bidding process.

Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or related field.
• Proven experience in construction estimation and bidding, with a minimum of [X] years of relevant experience in the Irish construction sector.
• In-depth knowledge of construction materials, methods, and industry standards.
• Strong understanding of Irish construction regulations and market dynamics.
• Proficiency in construction estimation software and tools.
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Exceptional communication and negotiation abilities.
• Detail-oriented with a strong focus on accuracy.
• Ability to work effectively in a collaborative team environment.
