Foreman

We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated construction Foreman to oversee and manage a large-scale construction project in Kilkenny. Strong experience in the built environment essential. Brownfield site with the successful candidate joining from project start to completion.

Responsibilities:

• Collaborate with managers and engineers to create and implement construction plan, scheduling, resource
• Lead and supervise construction crews, ensuring they are adequately trained, following safety protocols, and working efficiently to achieve project milestones.
• Maintain strict adherence to quality standards and building codes throughout the construction process.
• Promote a strong safety culture on-site, conduct regular safety meetings, and ensure that all workers and subcontractors are complying with safety regulations and guidelines.
• Oversee the procurement and delivery of construction materials and equipment to the site, ensuring timely availability and proper usage.
• Regularly update project managers and stakeholders on the project’s status, including work progress, challenges, and potential solutions.
• Address any issues or delays that arise during the construction process promptly and effectively, making decisions that prioritize the project’s success.
• Conduct inspections to verify work quality, address any deficiencies, and implement corrective actions.
• Ensure compliance with environmental regulations and implement sustainable practices whenever possible.
• Maintain clear and open communication with project stakeholders, including clients, contractors, suppliers, and regulatory authorities.

Requirements:

• 5+ years experience as a Site Manager, ideally with a tier 1 contractor
• Excellent communication, organisation & time management skills are essential
• Previous experience on large scale projects in the built environment
• Strong understanding of current Health & Safety legislation is required
