Graduate Engineer

Sonas Technical are currently on the lookout to recruit a Graduate Engineer to join one of Ireland’s leading Contractors operating in the Construction & Civil space. The ideal candidate should be self-motivated and driven to progress their career as an Engineer. The successful candidate will be initially working on a Project in Galway. This is a full time, permanent position, with great scope for career progression.

Responsibilities 

• Working as a member of a project team to deliver highest quality projects to clients
• Assist Site engineers in setting out on site using robotic total station and GPS and GPS machine control on a daily basis
• Regular inspection/monitoring of construction work to ensure that all aspects of design are correctly implemented
• Daily communication with site team to ensure projects are delivered on time and within scheduled budget
• Liaising with Clients, Statutory Bodies and 3rd Parties
• Completion of Health and Safety Inductions and Filing Records on site
• Develop skills to become competent in the use of site modelling software packages, such as Site 3D
• Assist in project team in record keeping, daily diaries, procurement and programme

Requirements

• Relevant third level qualification in Engineering
• Exposure to a construction site, either on placement or summer work
• Excellent IT Skills
• Strong problem-solving skills and good attention to detail
• A highly organised approach to work
• Willingness to get involved and be based on exciting projects
• Full Driver’s licence
