Our client, a leading Construction company in their respective field, are seeking to hire a Health & Safety Manager in Galway. The successful hire will be responsible for setting up EHS procedures and policies, with overall responsible for their operations nationwide. Experience in the public sector would be very advantageous to the applicants but not necessary.
Flexibility to work remotely, but will require site visit and presence in office once per week.

Key Responsibilities
- Provide appropriate H&S training as required
- Development of a strong safety culture in the factory and onsite
- Sign off on work ensuring it meets company standards
- Responsible for fault reporting and taking necessary corrective action in conjunction with engineering teams
- Completion of relevant documentation outlining progress etc
- Accident investigation and identification of corrective and preventative actions
- Organizing the fire safety plan for the company
- Liaising with client’s representatives while on site including attendance at meetings
- Issue and develop performance reports and policies to Construction Director
- Provide H&S advice and support to departments
Key Requirements
- 3rd level Degree in a relevant discipline
- Must have excellent verbal and written communication and presentation skills
- Ability to use time productively, maximize efficiency and meet challenging work goals
