Responsibilities of the HR Assistant:

  1. Employee Records Management: Maintaining accurate and up-to-date employee records using the in-house HRIS system.
  2. Onboarding: Handling new hire paperwork, contracts, and facilitating the onboarding process for new employees.
  3. HR Documentation: Preparing and distributing HR-related documents, such as offer letters, contracts, and policy updates.
  4. Policy Support: Assisting in implementing and communicating company policies and procedures.
  5. Employee Inquiries: Responding to employee inquiries related to benefits, leave, and other HR matters.
  6. Training Records: Keeping track of training records and ensuring compliance with mandatory training requirements.
  7. Employee Development: Supporting employee development and performance management processes.
  8. Point of Contact: Acting as a point of contact for employee inquiries and concerns, providing information and guidance.
  9. Conflict Resolution: Assisting in conflict resolution and mediation when necessary, escalating issues as required.
  10. Payroll Collaboration: Collaborating with stakeholders to ensure accurate and timely processing of employee payroll and providing necessary payroll data.

Qualifications Required:

  • A 3rd level qualification in HR is essential.
  • Previous experience in HR administration, preferably within the construction industry.
  • Knowledge of Irish employment laws and regulations.
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
  • The ability to handle confidential information with discretion and professionalism.
