As a Junior CAD Technician, you will play a crucial role in supporting our design and engineering projects by creating accurate and detailed technical drawings using computer-aided design (CAD) software. This is an excellent opportunity for an entry-level candidate looking to kick-start their career in the field of CAD and gain hands-on experience in a collaborative work environment.
Junior CAD Technician – Key Responsibilities:
- Draft and create detailed 2D and 3D CAD drawings based on project requirements, sketches, and specifications provided by senior engineers and designers.
- Assist in the development of architectural, mechanical, electrical, or civil engineering drawings, ensuring compliance with industry standards and regulations.
- Collaborate with project teams to understand design objectives, constraints, and timelines.
- Revise and update existing CAD drawings to reflect design changes and revisions accurately.
- Maintain organized project files and documentation, including version control and drawing archives.
- Perform basic design calculations and measurements as needed.
- Assist in preparing design documentation, reports, and presentations.
- Participate in design review meetings and provide input as necessary.
- Stay up-to-date with industry trends and software updates related to CAD technology.
Junior CAD technician – Qualifications:
- Educational Background: A diploma or degree in a relevant field such as Computer-Aided Design, Engineering Technology, Architecture, or a related discipline.
- CAD Software Proficiency: Familiarity with CAD software such as AutoCAD, SolidWorks, Revit, or similar tools is preferred.
- Strong Attention to Detail: Ability to create accurate and precise technical drawings.
