Junior Engineer

Our client is currently looking for a Junior Engineer to join their team in Kildare. The company in question are a highly regarded main contractor with operations all over the country. They have a highly experienced and dedicated project management team that guide their clients through the whole process from architectural design, planning permission to build and finishing.

This is an excellent opportunity for career progression as the successful candidate will work very closely with the director and senior management on a full book of turnkey projects. They’re looking for a driven, meticulous, individual with a high attention to detail. This is a full-time permanent position and the successful candidate will join their team on an Residential project.

Responsibilities:

• Liaise with architects and quantity surveyors to ensure accuracy and detail at all points in the process
• Report progress on projects to contacts manager, maintain and update project reporting and financial reporting to a high standard
• Co-ordinate required support levels and training
• Produce reports on each project at agreed intervals, and whenever they are required
• Manage site staff and all contractors
• Proposing suitable changes to design to improve saving, ease construction programme, enhance specification and quality completion
• Be commercially minded

Requirements:

• Degree in Engineering/Construction related discipline is desirable but not essential
• Preferably 1+ years of similar experience
• Previous setting-out experience
• Knowledgeable and confident in dealing with clients and other project teams
• Excellent programming and reporting skills
• Highly computer literate in relevant tools, including MS Office, project programming & analysis tools
