Our client is seeking a Junior QS to join their team in Kegworth. Our client are a leading Civil Engineering and Building Company, delivering high quality construction and civil engineering projects across the UK and Ireland, operating in all aspects of Construction from Civils and Water Infrastructure through to Commercial and Residential projects.
They currently have an excellent opportunity for an experienced Junior Quantity Surveyor who is looking to work within a progressive company.

Responsibilities
- Oversee the subcontractor appointment process.
- Prepare tenders, cost estimates, and quotations in compliance with client deadlines.
- Develop value engineering proposals that align with client budgetary requirements.
- Generate monthly reports on cost, value, and reconciliation for each assigned project.
- Ensure timely money recovery in adherence to agreed terms and conditions.
- Coordinate with clients, sub-contractors, and suppliers to meet project requirements in terms of information, costs, profitability, and value, up to final accounts.
- Manage sub-contractor accounts in strict accordance with their terms and conditions to meet project demands and timeframes.
- Conduct on-site visits to inspect completed works, assess quality, and manage costs.
- Perform any additional duties as assigned.
Requirements
- Holds a bachelor’s degree in Quantity Surveying or a related construction discipline.
- Prior experience as a Quantity Surveyor, preferably in the Civil Engineering, Water, or Wastewater industry.
- Proficient in estimation, with a track record in negotiating and confirming pricing for variations.
- Demonstrates the ability to prioritize tasks and operate within specified deadlines.
- Possesses excellent interpersonal and communication skills, fostering effective relationships both internally and externally.
- Knowledgeable about construction contracts, specifically NEC3/NEC4.
- Possesses a valid and clean driver’s license.
