Junior Quantity Surveyor

Our client is seeking a Junior Quantity Surveyor to join their team in Dublin. Our client is one of Irelands leading Mechanical Services and Contractors, specialising in a variety of sectors, including retail, commercial, industrial, education, healthcare, fit out.

Responsibilities

• Project tendering, calculate material quantities and costs, labour costs and issuing quotations.
• Day works management, recording of day works & materials preparing and issuing invoices.
• Compiling variations and the variation log
• Monitoring of contract charges and notification to Sub-Contractors and Site Managers.
• Liaising and reporting to management team.
• Handling Sub-Contractors quotations, re-measurement, interim and final account payments.
• Liaising and reporting to the Senior Quantity Surveyor.
• Working with the Senior Quantity Surveyor in the preparation of final account at the end of the projects.

Requirements

• Preferably 1 to 2 years Quantity Surveying experience.
• Excellent interpersonal skills, strong written and oral communication skills.
• Ability to work in a team.
• Good IT skills with competency using Buildsoft or equivalent, Microsoft Word and Excel
• To have strong analytical skills and ability to present findings.
• To be methodical, pay attention to detail and be accurate.
