Our client, Building Services Engineering Contractors, seek an experienced Mechanical Estimator to join their dynamic team.

- Analyze and interpret client-provided tender documents to gain a comprehensive grasp of project requirements.
- Precisely quantify material, plant, and labor needs. Address material and labor supply inquiries for pre-designed projects, ensuring accuracy in information dissemination, contract details, and trade specifications.
- Adhere to our established estimating procedures, protocols, systems, and databases. Maintain the accuracy of labor standards and costs within the estimating system.
- Develop the tender package, incorporating compilation and finalization. Present the package to the Estimation Manager for approval.
- Collaborate with the Estimation Manager to create contractor proposals, an integral part of the tender submission. Contribute to project schedules, organizational charts, and other mandated documents.
- Generate an exhaustive tender proposal based on performance specifications. Refer to layout drawings for project consultation.
- Initiate inquiries and maintain close coordination with procurement and supply chain during the tender phase, guaranteeing the accuracy and competitiveness of tender expenses.
- Collaborate with the Estimation Manager to budget preliminary costs, accounting for contract duration and stipulations.
- Consolidate all estimation components in collaboration with the commercial team. Construct the final bid submission.
- Oversee the submission progress and manage it until contract stage. If necessary, solicit feedback on pricing and collaborate with the sales team.
- Present Value Engineering alternatives and associated expenses, leveraging innovation and the supply chain to enhance tender value when appropriate.
- Participate in on-site visits and client meetings on behalf of the company, as required.
- Fulfill any additional responsibilities essential for optimizing business efficiency.
- Third level qualification
- Minimum of 5 years’ experience in estimation within a similar capacity is a prerequisite.
- Proficiency in pricing projects up to €10 million.
- Strong command of Microsoft Office Suite.
- Exceptional negotiation and communication proficiencies.
- Goal-oriented mindset, coupled with a comprehensive comprehension of financial and budgetary management.
- Profound understanding of Mechanical services.
