Mechanical Project Engineer

Sonas Technical are seeking a Mechanical Project Engineer to join our client in Dublin.

Responsibilities

• Conduct a comprehensive review of drawings, specifications, and schedules to ensure they adhere to relevant standards and industry guidelines.
• Ensure that the project works are installed according to the Project QA plan and specifications agreed upon beforehand.
• Develop engineering alternative solutions, including detailed calculations and sketches, seeking client approval.
• Familiarize yourself with the Design/IFC specifications and drawings to fully comprehend the scope of the Project works, ensuring compliance with specifications and adhering to the schedule priority. This may involve generating and managing Requests for Information (RFI) to be sent to the client.
• Utilize engineering software tools such as Dialux or Relux, Amtech Pro Design, Navisworks, BIM 360, Procore, or similar applications.
• Review the coordinated construction drawings and documentation, and prepare and monitor technical submittals for client approval.
• Perform a thorough review of specialist supplier packages to ensure they comply with the project specification, relevant industry standards, and design intent specifications.
• Prepare and monitor the procurement schedule in collaboration with the procurement team.

Requirements

• Hold a Level 7/8 Degree in Mechanical Engineering.
• Desirable to have at least 3+ years of experience in a similar industry.
• Possess excellent IT skills, especially in AutoCAD, Navisworks, and Microsoft Office Packages.
• Demonstrate excellent time management and diagnostic skills.
• Capable of working both independently and in a team environment.
• Exhibit strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to make well-informed decisions under pressure and adhere to strict deadlines.
