Project Engineer

Our client, is currently on the lookout for a Project Engineer in the South East. You will work on a large number of civil engineering and watermain rehabilitation projects across the South East of Ireland.  This role allows for flexibility in relation to the office base across the South East – Kilkenny, Waterford, Wexford or Wicklow. Our client are a leading multidisciplinary engineering consultancy that has extensive experience in both public and private sector engineering projects across a broad range of sectors including educational, infrastructural, conservation and refurbishment, commercial, residential and industrial developments. This is a full time, permanent position, with great scope for career progression. 

Responsibilities

• Civil engineering/water services design
• Daily communication with client
• Awareness of the project scope and monitoring deviation from this scope.
• Ensure supply chain value is achieved through a competitive tendering process and challenge
• Ensuring that the program and budget are considered during the coordination and management of project deliverables
• Undertaking site surveys in the South East region on a regular basis (2/3 days per week)
• Management of sub-consultants

Requirements

• 5+ years’ experience in civil engineering (design and project management)
• Civil Engineering Degree (Master’s advantageous)
• Hydraulic modelling experience preferred
