Our client is currently recruiting for an Property Manager to join their Capital & Estates Department in the Midlands. 

This is an initial 1-year fixed term role with potential for further extension and permanency.

The role involves overseeing property operations, optimizing utilization, and maintaining accurate records within a dynamic healthcare environment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide Comprehensive Property Management Services: Deliver property management and advisory services across the Dublin West region.
  • Assist in Estate Planning and Rationalization: Aid in the strategic planning, management, and rationalization of the existing estate, including providing independent property valuations and updating property registers and databases annually.
  • Develop and Advise on Property Strategies: Formulate strategies for disposing of surplus properties, maximizing operational and financial potential of assets, and advising on third-party proposals such as developer options and public-private partnerships.
  • Support Facility Sourcing and Acquisition: Advise and assist integrated service area personnel in sourcing and acquiring new facilities in alignment with their service plans, and support development strategies for campus sites and property asset management.
  • Ensure Statutory Compliance and Review Local Development Plans: Ensure compliance with planning and zoning regulations, prepare reviews and commentaries on local authority development plans, and manage property-related proposals and transactions.
  • Manage Property Transactions and Documentation: Oversee property transactions, including preparing and reviewing leases, contracts, title maps, and submission documents, ensuring they are executed within acceptable time limits and according to internal protocols.
  • Provide Expert Advice and Build Relationships: Offer expert advice on property matters, maintain relationships with estate agents, local authorities, and property management personnel, and ensure effective communication and progress of property-related proposals and transactions.

Knowledge Skills & Experience

  • Hold a Level 8 (or higher) Quality & Qualifications Ireland major academic award in Surveying, Estate/Property Management or Property
  • Be a member of the Society of Chartered Surveyors in Ireland or the Institute of Auctioneers and Valuers of Ireland
  • Hold a qualification at least equivalent to one of the above.
  • Have 5 years significant satisfactory experience in one of the above
  • Have experience of the Planning Acts, Regulations and Local Authority Development Plans as they relate to the zoning of lands and properties and have the capability to prepare, or cause to be prepared, applications or submissions in relation to rezoning of lands and properties.
  • Have experience of property acquisition and disposal including the legal and statutory obligations attaching to property transactions
