Our client is seeking a Quality Engineer to join their team in Wexford. Our client are industry-leading builders and contractors, with expertise across all sectors, including Data Centres, Pharma/Life Sciences, Industrial, Healthcare, and Commercial & Retail.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement quality control procedures, processes, and documentation to uphold project standards and regulatory requirements.
  • Conduct regular site inspections and audits to monitor workmanship, materials, and compliance with project specifications.
  • Collaborate with project managers, engineers, and subcontractors to address quality-related concerns and provide timely solutions.
  • Participate in design and planning discussions to identify potential quality issues and offer proactive suggestions for improvement.
  • Perform root cause analyses for quality deviations, implement corrective and preventive actions, and track their effectiveness.
  • Assist in the development of quality-related training materials and provide guidance to site personnel on best practices.
  • Document and communicate quality-related data, including non-conformities, trends, and improvement opportunities, to relevant stakeholders.
  • Contribute to the development of quality KPIs and metrics to measure and track project performance.
  • Stay updated on industry standards, regulations, and emerging trends in construction quality management.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field.
  • Minimum of 2 years of experience in a quality-related role within the construction industry.
  • Strong knowledge of construction processes, materials, and best practices.
  • Familiarity with relevant quality standards, codes, and regulations.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to analyze complex issues to identify effective solutions.
  • Detail-oriented mindset with a commitment to delivering work of the highest quality.
  • Exceptional communication skills to collaborate with diverse teams and convey technical information effectively.
  • Proficiency in using quality management tools and software.
