Quantity Surveyor

Our Client are seeking a Senior Quantity Surveyor with 5+ years experience to join their esteemed commercial construction team. This opening is attributed to their continuous expansion in both new and ongoing projects.

In collaboration with the Project Director you will play an integral role in supporting the commercial and construction teams, ensuring the triumphant delivery of projects, nurturing relationships, optimizing commercial outcomes, and mitigating risks.

Your Responsibilities:

• Preparation of tenders, meticulous analysis, the judicious selection of suitable subcontractors, skilled negotiation, and finalization of subcontractor orders.
• Diligent financial and commercial management of subcontractors, overseeing all aspects up to the completion of the Final Account.
• Proficient management and reporting of forecasts, targets, reconciliations, meticulous site records maintenance, vigilant document control, thorough variation reporting, valuations, and valuable contributions to site records and document control.
• Effective liaison with the site management team, providing influential commercial insights and constructive challenges, all while safeguarding the commercial and contractual rights of our organization.
• Thorough management and supervision of Assistant Quantity Surveyors (AQS) and Trainee Quantity Surveyors (TQS), including comprehensive reviews, accountability for their work, and finalizing SMM/measurement matters.

Your Qualifications:

• Possession of a pertinent third-level qualification with chartered registration.
• History of 5+ years in construction quantity surveying.
• A track record of 5+ years of reporting on forecasts, budgets, targets, and reconciliations.
• Proficiency in communication and computer skills.
