Quantity Surveyor

Our client, is currently on the lookout for a Quantity Surveyor in Sligo Town. The company in question are a well established Engineering Consultancy that operate as a multidisciplinary Engineering practice across the private and public sectors in Ireland. The successful candidate will work on a variety of projects including mixed commercial, residential, industrial, and educational. Our client are flexible on the base location for the successful candidate (Galway, Castlebar, Sligo, Limerick or Dublin).This is a full time, permanent position, with great scope for career progression.

Responsibilities

• Develop cost estimates throughout the various stages of the design and pretender
• Provide Tender and contract documents, including bills of quantities, schedule of rates etc.
• Support the Client on procurement and tendering strategies
• Help with the Implementation of Value Engineering opportunities, managing VE opportunities
• Aid in establishing client’s requirements and undertaking feasibility studies of design options and additional items
• Perform risk and value management and cost control
• Identify, analyse and develop responses to commercial risks
• Conduct contract administration of various forms of Works Contracts
• Instruct the QS Team in providing advice on contractual claims
• Manage the change order process with the assistance of senior team members.
• Development and Agreement of Final Accounts
• Be proficient in the implications of health and safety regulations
