We are currently in search of a Senior EHS Advisor for the Dublin region. In this role, you will report to the Regional EHS Manager and play a pivotal role in promoting a positive Health and Safety culture across one or multiple sites, as needed. The role offers the flexibility to lead a team on a single project or work across several smaller projects while managing EHS personnel. Your responsibilities will include developing, monitoring, and implementing the company’s EHS policy and ISO 45001 SMS to ensure compliance with Health and Safety Regulations.

Responsibilities:

  • Manage all EHS aspects for a Main/PSCS Contractor.
  • Implement the company’s health, safety, and environmental policies, procedures, and management systems in alignment with our ISO 45001 SMS.
  • Advise and assist site management in creating and communicating method statements, Safe Plans of Action, and Toolbox Talks.
  • Provide guidance and instruction in all health & safety matters to management, EHS, safety representatives, employees, and sub-contractors as needed.
  • Conduct Health & Safety induction programs for new employees or sub-contractors working on site.
  • Perform regular inspections and site audits, reporting findings to site and senior company management, with a focus on immediate action.
  • Ensure that all accidents are reported, recorded, and investigated, and that proper notifications are made to Directors, the Health & Safety Authority, and Insurers as required.
  • Compile EHS reports for senior management and present findings as needed.
  • Promote the Company’s mission of maintaining a healthy, incident, and injury-free workplace.
  • Contribute to the development and delivery of safety training as required.
  • Collaborate with clients, consultants, and regulatory bodies on all EHS aspects for day-to-day site operations as necessary.
  • Ensure compliance with the role of PSCS/Main Contractor by developing Construction Plans, Safety Statements, RAMS, and other necessary documentation.

Requirements:

  • Minimum Level 8 Diploma in Health and Safety Management or equivalent.
  • 8-10 years of previous experience in a fast-paced construction industry environment with a main contractor/PSCS.
  • Prior experience on large-scale projects is essential.
  • Hold a full, clean driving license.
  • Excellent IT skills, including proficiency in Microsoft Office with strong Excel and PowerPoint skills.
  • Strong presentation and training abilities.
  • Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Demonstrated ability to build strong working relationships and manage stakeholders.
  • Experience in setting up, implementing, and managing an Integrated Management System in compliance with ISO 14001, ISO 45001.
  • Excellent communication skills with a team-oriented approach to issue resolution.
