Senior Engineer

Our client, a leading Tier 1 Main contractor are currently seeking a Senior Engineer to join their team in Kilkenny. The client in question are operating a number of large-scale Infrastructure and Building construction projects across Ireland. You will be joining the team as a Senior Engineer on an Infrastructure Project with other projects to follow in the South-East. This is a full-time permanent position with opportunities to join further project in the region.

Key responsibilities:

• Supporting the Project Manager and the wider team to provide technical advise on the project
• Liaise with design team as necessary.
• Perform technical verifications of civil engineering designs, models and drawings.
• Implementing QA procedures, concrete pre/post pour checks, RFI’s and resolves technical issues
• Assist in maintaining and monitoring safe working practices on site.
• Monitoring and recording of materials, plant, and logistics
• Record keeping and reporting

Qualifications:

• Degree in Engineering or a related discipline is essential
• Minimum of 5-7 years’+ experience on Roads projects.
• Main contracting construction experience is essential
• Experience of working within a Quality Management System is preferred
• Excellent attention to detail regarding required construction documentation, procedures and adherence to current building and civils regulations.
• Excellent IT skills – knowledge of AutoCAD, Revit, Navis works, Microsoft
