We are partnered with a Multidisciplinary Engineering consultancy, recruiting a Senior Engineer/PM to deliver innovative and sustainable water and wastewater infrastructure projects throughout Ireland based out of their offices in Dublin, Galway, Castlebar or Limerick.

Senior Engineer – Responsibilities:

1. Crafting initial designs and feasibility studies during the concept design phase.
2. Compiling reports for route and site selection.
3. Creating design drawings, technical reports, and calculations.
4. Preparing contract documents and specifications for project execution.
5. Ensuring timely and high-quality delivery of design and contract outcomes through continuous interaction with the client throughout all project stages.
6. Supervising a team comprising Graduate, Design, and Project Engineers to achieve project goals.
7. Providing mentorship and development opportunities for project teams, including junior engineers and support staff, and offering technical expertise and guidance.
8. Coordinating a multidisciplinary team within TOBIN to guarantee the provision of environmental, planning, hydrogeological, and structural inputs for the design.
9. Handling procurement of Site Investigation and Building and Civil Engineering Contracts, and, when applicable, generating pricing schedules and Bills of Quantities.
10. Conducting construction stage inspections and creating corresponding reports.
11. Identifying and mitigating project risks while implementing effective risk management strategies.
12. Promoting effective communication and collaboration within TOBIN teams and with key clients.
13. Managing construction contracts to ensure adherence to design requirements, project schedules, and budgets.
14. Establishing and nurturing client relationships.
15. Staying up-to-date with industry advancements, innovations, and technologies used by consulting engineering professionals.
16. Complying with and contributing to the further development of the company’s quality assurance procedures and plans.

Key Qualifications for a Senior Engineer:

• 7-10 years of experience in a similar role.
• A minimum of 3 years of experience in delivering water and wastewater projects in Ireland.
• A Level 8 Honours Degree in Civil Engineering or a related field.
• Proficient in both written and verbal English communication and interpersonal skills.
• Thorough understanding of water/wastewater engineering standards.
• Proficiency in relevant software applications, such as Microsoft Project.
• Strong familiarity with construction contracts like FIDIC.
• Proven ability to manage teams, successfully deliver complex projects, and cultivate client relationships.
