Our client are currently seeking a Senior Quantity Surveyor to join their team in East Wall, Dublin Port, Dublin. The company, a well-established Civils contractor are looking to expand their team and are seeking a Senior Quantity Surveyor to join their team which rewards performance, drives personal development and offers a great place to work while delivering exciting projects.   • Develop detailed bottom-up forecasts at the contract award stage.
  • Create and oversee schedules for subcontractor and material procurement.
  • Draft ITT documents for the supply chain, including subcontract and professional services terms of engagement.
  • Ensure accurate recording of costs to date at each month’s end, including the calculation of project accruals.
  • Prepare and maintain an up-to-date Cost to Complete and Risk Analysis Register for projects.
  • Produce and maintain monthly CVR reports and any other required project reports.
  • Maximize cash position through WIP control, cash flow production, and improvement strategies.
  • Identify and manage commercial risks, opportunities, value engineering, and changes.
  • Challenge and manage cost control and cost mitigation efforts.
  • Measure quantities in line with standard methods of measurement as necessary.
  • Prepare valuations/applications for payment to the client with full supporting documentation per the contract.
  • Administer contracts, including change management and maintenance of associated registers.
  • Ensure client management is initiated and maintained effectively.
  • Prepare, negotiate, and agree on compensation events.
  • Administer subcontractor/supplier accounts from requisition preparation, monitoring, and authorization of payments through to final account agreement.
  • Maintain accurate site records.
  • Assist the site team with work-winning duties as needed, including technical writing for PQQ responses.
  • Identify and advise on insurance-related issues, including professional indemnity (PI).
  • Undertake any other tasks as directed by your line manager.
  • Support and mentor junior members of the commercial team.
  • Establish and promote best practices in health, safety, and environmental matters in collaboration with the SHESQ department.


  • Degree qualification in Quantity Surveying or Construction Economics (RICS Accredited).
  • Chartered Quantity Surveyor (MRICS) or equivalent is desirable.
  • Valid full driving license.
  • Strong commercial awareness.
  • In-depth knowledge of NEC3/NEC4 forms of contract.
  • Proficient understanding of CESSM4 method of measurement.
  • Over 5 years of relevant experience.
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office applications (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint).
  • Strong communication skills, including presentation abilities and the capability to negotiate and influence others.
  • Expertise in programming techniques, project controls, risk analysis, contract administration, procurement, cost management, and claims.
  • Experience in marine and civil engineering is highly advantageous.
