Setting Out Engineer

Our valued client, a prominent Civils contractor, is in need of a Setting Out Engineer to join their team working on a project in Longford. A background in Groundworks and Roads is essential for this role. You will begin your journey with the team on an initial Road and Infrastructure Project in Longford. This full-time position offers exceptional prospects for career growth as the team consistently expands year after year. The candidate may be required to travel from time to time.

Responsibilities

• Interpret construction drawings on-site, conveying layout information and material measurements effectively.
• Ensure precise setting out with accurate lines, levels, and reference points on the site.
• Influence site progress effectively, ensuring adherence to program deadlines.
• Foster relationships and engage with clients and subcontractors.
• Collaborate closely with team members to ensure compliance with Quality, Environmental, and Health & Safety standards during your project phase.
• Continuously enhance your industry knowledge, imparting best practices to line managers and relevant staff.
• Maintain compliance with Integrated Management System (IMS) requirements, policies, and procedures.
• Exercise initiative, taking ownership of projects from inception to completion.
• Drive motivation within the team to achieve key targets.

Qualifications

• Degree in Civil Engineering or a related industry qualification.
• Candidates of all experience will be considered
• Experience in the roads sector is advantageous.
• Proficient numeracy and IT skills, including MS Office (Word and Excel).
• Possession of a valid, full driving license.
