Setting Out Engineer

Our valued client, a prominent Civils contractor, is in need of an Engineer to join their team working on an earthworks project in Limerick. A background in Groundworks is beneficial for this role. This full-time role provides outstanding opportunities for professional advancement as the team continues to grow steadily each year. Occasional travel may be expected of the candidate.

Responsibilities

• Interpret construction plans on-site, effectively conveying layout details and material measurements.
• Ensure precise site layout with accurate lines, levels, and reference points.
• Effectively guide site progress, guaranteeing adherence to project deadlines.
• Cultivate relationships and actively engage with clients and subcontractors.
• Collaborate closely with team members to ensure adherence to Quality, Environmental, and Health & Safety standards throughout your project phase.
• Continuously enrich your industry expertise, sharing best practices with supervisors and relevant personnel.
• Uphold compliance with the requirements, policies, and procedures of the Integrated Management System (IMS).
• Demonstrate initiative by taking ownership of projects from inception to completion.
• Inspire and motivate the team to accomplish key targets.

Qualifications

• A Civil Engineering degree or a closely related industry qualification.
• Applicants with varying levels of experience are welcome.
• Having experience in the roads sector is a plus.
• Strong numerical and IT skills, including proficiency in MS Office (Word and Excel).
• Holding a valid, unrestricted driver’s license.
