Project Engineer

Our client is seeking a Project Engineer to join their team in Offaly. Our client is a leader in high-quality design and construction services in the water infrastructure and civil engineering industries.

The Site Agent is responsible for seeing each phase of a particular project through to completion.

Responsibilities

• Ensuring strict adherence to Health and Safety (H&S) regulations and promptly reporting any information that could impact the well-being of individuals at a prospective site.
• Collaborating effectively with consultants, subcontractors, site supervisors, planners, quantity surveyors, and the entire workforce engaged in the project.
• Setting out, levelling and surveying the site in accordance with the Drawings and Specification
• Overseeing the day-to-day operations of the site, which involves supervising and closely monitoring the labor force on-site as well as the work carried out by subcontractors.
• Maintaining open communication with the Project Manager/planner to address construction program details, program constraints, and related matters.
• Resolving technical challenges by liaising with the employer’s representatives, suppliers, subcontractors, and relevant regulatory bodies.
• Implementing quality control procedures in line with company protocols, method statements, quality plans, and inspection and test plans.
• Demonstrating familiarity with the Project’s Contract Form and comprehending the potential consequences of variations or change orders on the project’s schedule and costs. Understanding the implications of any cost or manpower overruns.

Requirements

• Degree/masters in Civil Engineering
• 5+ years experience in a similar role
• Full clean driving licence
• Must have MEICA experience
• Experience on Waste Water projects is highly desirable
