Site Agent

Our client, a prominent figure in the Civils industry, is currently seeking a Civils Site Agent / Junior PM to join their Dublin – based team for a residential project in North Dublin . This client is renowned for its prowess as a leading contractor, consistently delivering innovative and sustainable engineering solutions to create, construct, operate, and maintain critical civil infrastructure across Ireland. This role not only promises long-term stability but also offers promising avenues for career progression as the company’s growth trajectory continues.

Key Roles and Responsibilities:

• Collaborate effectively within a team, managing multiple projects concurrently.
• Ensure strict adherence to project site Health, Safety, Environmental & Sustainability standards, policies, and procedures.
• Cultivate strong collaboration and communication with key stakeholders, including clients, client representatives, and third-party agencies.
• Assume leadership of the construction team for all aspects of the Civils scope of work.
• Maintain close ties and offer support to other engineering disciplines, including civil/building engineering and process teams.
• Implement industry best practices in project management, such as Lean Construction and Last Planner.
• Provide monthly project performance reports to the framework manager, covering progress against schedule, budget, and HSQE (Health, Safety, Quality, and Environmental) objectives.
• Oversee the procurement of supplies and sub-contracts, ensuring timely and budget-compliant execution.
• Manage project cashflow and collaborate with the Contracts Manager/Commercial Manager to ensure timely submission of interim payment applications to the client.

Proactively seek opportunities to enhance the project delivery process through lessons learned feedback and innovative solutions for future projects.

Stay informed about the latest industry standards and technology through continuous professional development (CPD).

Qualifications:

• Minimum of 5 years’ experience in a similar role, preferably within the civils industry.
• Proficiency in Civil engineering works, encompassing all Civils aspects.
• Minimum of a Level 8 Honours Degree in Civil Engineering or Construction Mnaagement.
• Strong familiarity with program management software, such as Microsoft Project, including baseline program creation and updates.
• Demonstrated ability to show initiative, troubleshoot, and adapt to challenges during project execution.
• Familiarity with the Safety, Health, and Welfare at Work (Construction) Regulations 2013; possession of a Managing Safely for Construction Managers certificate is preferable.
• Possession of a full driving license.
