Responsibilities
- As a Site Engineer, your responsibilities will include:
Site Management Support:
Assisting in the coordination and oversight of day-to-day construction site operations, ensuring efficiency and organization.
Surveying and Site Layout:
Undertaking site layout, leveling, and surveying tasks, which include verifying subcontractor work for accuracy in terms of alignment and elevation or directly supervising such activities.
Plan and Drawing Scrutiny:
Thoroughly reviewing construction plans and drawings to verify the precision of all calculations and specifications.
Quality Assurance:
Maintaining a keen focus on quality control, ensuring that both workmanship and materials adhere to the contract’s stipulated standards.
Stakeholder Engagement:
Facilitating effective communication and collaboration by liaising with subcontractors, clients, and other professionals engaged in the project.
Documentation Management:
Meticulously recording and managing daily activities, materials deliveries, inspection outcomes, weather conditions, site visitors, received instructions, and more.
Health and Safety Oversight:
Contributing to the maintenance of stringent health and safety protocols on the construction site, promoting a secure working environment.
Site Inductions and Register Maintenance:
Assisting with site inductions for personnel, while also managing induction records and overseeing the method statement registers.
Document Control:
Efficiently managing document control processes and daily logs to ensure streamlined and well-organized project management.
Requirements
To be considered for this role, you should have:
- A degree in a construction/engineering related discipline.
- 2-4 years of engineering experience.
- Familiarity with the use of Microsoft Excel, Word, and Outlook.
- Flexibility, motivation, and the ability to work independently while meeting tight program deadlines.
