We are in search of a Sustainability Engineer to join our client, a leading M&E Consultancy in their Dublin. In this capacity, you will assume responsibility for conceiving, developing, and assessing energy-focused initiatives or schemes that target the reduction of energy expenses and enhancement of energy efficiency within the designing, constructing, or renovating phases of building projects.

Requirements:
- A minimum of a Bachelor’s degree in Building Services, Sustainability, or Mechanical Engineering.
- Progress towards Chartered status or membership with Engineer’s Ireland is advantageous.
- At least 3 years of dedicated experience as a Sustainability Engineer, preferably in a consultancy milieu.
- Proven capability in managing cross-disciplinary projects while engaging directly with clients.
- Proficiency across a diverse range of project types, including but not limited to commercial offices, healthcare, and educational facilities, within the UK and/or Ireland.
- Strong technical prowess with a comprehensive grasp of pertinent codes and standards, encompassing TGD Part L, CIBSE TM52, TM59, BRE209, etc.
- Possession of a valid driver’s license and a willingness to conduct site visits when necessary.
Responsibilities:
- Attend site visits to understand the existing building services and liaise with sub-contractors during tender stage.
- Develop detailed project implementation plan and track on a regular basis. Ensure project is in line with timelines and budgets.
- Weekly updates internally to senior management and externally to clients.
- Hold regular contractor and vendor meetings to ensure all stakeholders are aligned with programme.
- Responsible for key account management and maintaining and fostering the client relationship.
- Conduct site inspections and energy surveys when necessary to produce investment grade design reports and carbon reduction opportunities.
- Manage energy & sustainability projects from concept to handover stage.
- Preparing sustainability strategies for clients.
- Prepare technical and financial reports.
- Complete additional training/education where needed/mentor less experienced staff
- Monitor and optimise savings during the performance stage via our in-house Lawler Vision monitoring and control system.
