We currently have an excellent opportunity for an experienced Project Planner with a leading Construction Consultancy firm. This position can be based in Cork and the successful candidate will assume planning responsibility for both commercial and public sector projects throughout Ireland. This is a full time, permanent role, with an excellent package on offer for the right individual and will be a great opportunity lead out and build the Project Controls Advisory side of the business.
Responsibilities:
- project for commercial fit-out and shell & core projects.
- Expert experience level using project scheduling tools including MS Project, Primavera and P5 experience.
- Ability to coordinate/organize multiple sources of schedule inputs/performance data into a master schedule platform and deliver project/program status reports is required.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Implement Project Planning/Scheduling strategy, plans and procedures.
- Support the Project Team in the implementation of an integrated enterprise based, cross functional and master schedule program.
- Preparing Staffing, Engineering, Construction progress and customized reports.
- Conduct the required project schedule analysis, critical path analysis and schedule risk analysis for the project as a whole.
- Analyze deviations from the baseline in the Project Master schedule highlighting bottlenecks / delays and propose corrective actions.
- Prepare the Integrated Planning / Scheduling contribution to the Monthly Project Report and specific reports / presentations.
- Analyze and highlight the overall schedule impact of any variance / change order.
- Prepare resourcing plans for the overall and individual project phases, identifying any excessive peak numbers and making recommendations for peak leveling.
- Ensure that schedule related data from vendors, suppliers, engineering and construction contractors of actual projects is provided as feedback into the planning and scheduling systems.
- Ensure the accuracy and completeness of the schedules produced, maintaining independence as a planning engineer when advising on issues requiring judgment.
- Ability to balance multiple projects executed in multiple locations and by multiple contractors.
- Track and Monitor Portfolio Schedule
Requirements:
- Degree educated in Quantity Surveying or Construction Management
- Minimum of 7+ years in the civil engineering sector
- Good communication and project management skills
