Data Centre Design Engineer

Our client, a leader in Engineering solutions largely focused on the Data Centre sector is seeking an experienced Design Engineer for their Dublin office.

The business operates out of Dublin, servicing customers and clients across Europe with key markets including Dublin, London and Mainland Europe

Key Responsibilities

• Responsible for creating and coordinating BIM models and CAD Drawings for strategic projects across EMEA.
• Responsible for new product development and updating existing products.
• Produce detailed drawings, cutting lists and other production data.
• Work closely with other Design departments both locally and internationally as you aim to align global design standards for our strategic customers.
• Work closely with the manufacturing department.
• Support the Strategic Accounts team across EMEA with technical support as needed.
• Conduct construction site visits to perform surveys.
• Any other reasonable duties as and when required and requested. The title of your job does not define or limit your employment.

The Ideal Candidate

• Relevant 3rd level qualification
• Professional experience in a construction or manufacturing environment.
• SolidWorks/Revit experience essential
• Critical thinking and problem solving.
• Excellent decision-making and leadership capabilities.
• Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
• Ability to work on own initiative and as part of a team.
• Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
• Full Irish/EU driving license.
• Occasional international travel will be required
