Design Manager

Sonas Technical are on the lookout for a Design Manager to join a a leading project management consultancy. The successful person will get the opportunity to work on a major Industrial projects. This role is senior position and can allow 3/4 days work  from home with the remainder in the Dublin Office. The Design Manager will participate directly in projects and provide support to the Design Team to enable them to succeed to complete the design to meet Construction timelines and requirements.

Role responsibilities include:

• Provide leadership to the Design and Document Management functions on the project
• Work alongside discipline leads to establish an agreed scope of services for all Design disciplines
• Manage all design reviews and coordination meetings
• Ensure a Design strategy is in place and work closely with discipline lead to deliver
• Take lead of the Design team to ensure that the overall project standards are met
• Work with senior management to confirm fee targets
• Deliver to cost in terms of design fee and project prime cost
• Ensure that the Design matches the defined specifications as detailed within the work package control document

Requirements:

• Relevant 3rd level degree, Mechanical, Electrical, Architectural
• Min of 6-7 years experience delivering complex and multi-disciplined projects
• Excellent organizational and communication skills with an ability to achieve project deadlines within an agreed budget
• Have an in-depth knowledge base and experience across all RIBA work stages
• Ability to lead, coordinate and supervise both internal and external teams
• Have a strong knowledge of building regulations and construction technology
