Our client is a Global multi-million euro main contractor seeking an experienced E&I Lead to work as part of a team on a Pharmaceutical project for a 2 year contract.
E&I Lead – Key Responsibilities:
- Act as the Primary E&I interface during the Construction phase of the project
- Deliver a high-end facility with respect to the E&I scope, in line with industry best practices, within budget and schedule, without compromising safety
- Encourage and develop conduct with respect to safety, wherein demonstration is key
- Initiate and maintain an open relationship with the CM team and the wider team to ensure successful project delivery
- Work with the Design E&I Lead to ensure that AE Service provider delivers E&I in a timely manner, in line with expectations, including the application of standards and guidelines
- Manage and approve Electrical & Instrumentation subcontractors’ deliverables, via CM Services provider
- Draw from experience in relation to design and engineering solutions required to provide a world class design and construction installation
- Ensure that field installation of E&I is undertaken in compliance with IFC design as issued, including 3D model, with minimum change required.
- Attend & contribute to all E&I reviews on-site
- Engage with Third Parties e.g., existing site team, in support of successful project delivery
- Maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders
- Ensure that adequate resources are applied, within the cost constraints of the project, to achieve the project goals
- Review and monitor all E&I construction queries to ensure that responses to subcontractors are accurate and timely.
- Adjust day-to-day role requirements depending on the immediate demands and requirements set down by the project as a whole.
- Ensure that the quality and design intent is in line with expectations.
- Escalate issues to the Construction Lead, as required and necessary to avoid impacting upon project KPIs
- Act as the Lead for Construction walkdown/punchlist/handover of all systems with E&I scope on the project
- Review and approve all Trade Turn Over Packages (TTOPs) as presented by the CM Services Provider and the E&I contractors at Construction Handover
- Provide E&I support to the CQV phase of the project including management.
- Establish and maintain E&I documentation handover format from CQV to operations
E&I Lead – Key Skills:
- A recognized Third-level Degree in a relevant Instrumentation Engineering discipline
- Proven experience successfully managing the delivery of electrical or instrumentation designs for pharmaceutical and/or biotechnology projects
- Proactive, a good communicator with the ability to work well with others in a multi-discipline project-delivery environment
- Ambition to grow and develop within a thriving high-growth organisation where client service and individual excellence is paramount
- Excellent level of attention to detail and accuracy
